Help – for Photo (display) Options
The photo display options offer three different methods of display:
1.) ‘mini’ versions - ‘mini’ in that 3 photos go side by side – thus file size is ‘mini’ and better for slow network
2.) ‘full sized’ versions – designed to take full advantage of monitor width (on classic 1024x768 monitor)
3.) ‘large sized’ versions – designed to take full advantage of modern, wide screen large monitors
Simplest Summary: If you connect to the WEB with a phone line (or other slow connection), there is now an effective way for you to see all photos – by using method 1.).
Each method provides some usage guidance when it starts – please read it.
The fact is that each method has advantages and disadvantages. I enjoy each method. Please experiment and make your own judgments. At the end of a method 1.) you can link to the related method 2.) --- and 2.) links to 1.).
Method 1.) provides a nice overview of all photos (and this is good even for viewers that have a fast connection)! If your connection is very slow, you can be very selective regards which larger images you uploaded for viewing (by clicking on small image).
Method 2.) provides an easier way to see the larger images – just scroll! (Because it automatically uploads all larger photo versions.)
Method 3 (needs a fast web connection and uses Picasa Web Albums – more info below)
========
“Picasa Web Albums” - Usage hints: (major hint: MOVE THE MOUSE)
Summary:
Move the mouse to get control over Automatic vs. Manual photo advancing (and other useful controls).
You can X (e X i t) the slideshow to use other features.
The primary method of photo display used by me is now Picasa Web Albums in Slideshow mode - because it gets major value from new high resolution computer monitors.
Move the mouse with cursor over the Slideshow window to see the control seen below:

The slideshow may need a ‘Play’ icon click to do automatic advancing.
The control’s features will be obvious to most users, but annotation is added in image above to make sure you know the meaning of the feature’s icons.
Picasa Web Albums has a lot of power - to get the most value, be sure to experiment or consider reading the help provided with the following link:

I think Google’s Picasa Web Albums is great. The service is FREE and allows 1 giga-byte of storage = a lot! I would be happy to give more information if you are interested - please email or call.
